Dean Terry is a meta media artist, writer, and filmmaker with a background in digital arts and philosophy. He writes and lectures on cultural, social, and technology issues regularly, particularly in the areas of arts & technology, emerging media, mobile culture, online worlds, and suburbia. He has worked in experimental video and audio for twenty years.

Mr. Terry was also co-founder of PixelWave, a leading interactive entertainment firm in Los Angeles, which he sold to AtomFilms, which has since sold to Viacom.

Dean Terry is also a professor in the Art & Technology program in the School of Arts & Humanities at the University of Texas at Dallas where he teaches new media and emerging media. He is the Director the MobileLab & the Virtual Worlds Lab.
